DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

Bella Bostyn is a beautiful head strong girl who came to us because she was too much for her new owners that rescued her from a divorce situation. Unfortunately she was a behavior challenge, and was dominating the home. She would snap at anyone that wanted her to do anything she didn’t want to do. Children running towards her was unsettling to her but that has since improved some. The previous owners have been very supportive and have helped us by paying for in-home training which was a huge help in terms of  clipping the leash on her harness collar and walking on the leash–as well as  over all obedience. They have agreed to pay for more training to help her confidence when meeting new people and hopefully soon–meeting other dogs. She was jumping their fence but hasn’t jumped her foster mom’s yet. She has flipped the latch and gotten out twice with her foster mom standing near. She HATES cats–once she sees the outside cat at her foster home it’s hard for her to listen. We will be working on that in the next training. She is the most snuggly, cuddly love bug once she puts her guard down but it will take time and very slow expectations as well as consistent practice of her new behavioral skills.
