Billy Gates
2 year old Male
Hi my name is Billy Gates. My foster dad named me that because I sat at his gate for 3 days, waiting for my family to come back for me. I tried to be a really good boy and wait right where they left me, but sometimes, I would get scared and cross the highway. One day my foster mom was out mowing and I ran across the road and this big red truck tried to hit me, on purpose! Mom said that was it, we have to be friends and you have to come with me. I was really scared at first, but she was so nice and she gave me a soft bed, and lots of food and treats! For the first few days I kept trying to get back to where my family left me but mom wouldn’t let me go out on the road. She promised me that even though that family left me, if I stay with her she will make sure I find a family that will never, ever, ever leave me. I decided I would trust her. Now I stay here and I am learning how to be the best boy. I go in my crate no problem, sometimes I kind of cry a little, but only if I know mom is close, I want her to come back and talk with me. I don’t ever potty in my crate. I’m working on sit and off. Sit I don’t mind but I just want to show my love with hugs. The leash is challenging for me. I don’t mind when mom puts it on my collar but when you tug, I get scared. When I get scared, I belly crawl. I get really scared you’re going to be mad. Sometime I have a little accident I am so scared. I don’t get scared as bad any more. I know mom won’t hurt me. Mom says I am an honorary boxer. She says she wanted to call me Spuds but dad overrode. She says I am one of the most loving, loyal, good boys she has ever fostered. Do you know someone that wants and honorary boxer to be their best friend forever? I really want to get to my new home, where I will feel safe forever.
