This special boy, and not because he’s deaf, is a firecracker. He loves his people and he’s been teaching us sign language. He has recently graduated from the training program at Mabel Bassett Correctional facility. They provided a disc showing what commands he knows and we are trying to continue with that so he keeps that solid training. It’s tougher with several other dogs being distracting versus the controlled environment he just left. He definitely is a lover and wants to please his people. It has gotten easier to keep his attention as we have bonded since getting him. He would do best with a buddy to play with and help him learn the ropes in a new home. He does have separation anxiety. That is something that will have to be worked through. He is a gentle soul and very gentle taking treats. He loves to go with his people and rides like a BOSS and settles on a pad and naps too. He is an all around great guy that is a typical 18 month old boxer who just happens to be deaf.
