Sterling Silver

Sterling Silver is a sweet, well-mannered deaf kid. He’s crate trained and potty trained, and lets you know when he wants out and back in. He doesn’t like being outside. He was returned to RDBR for no fault of his own–his family’s situation changed and they made the heartbreaking decision to return him.

In his previous home, he lived with 2 small dogs. He loved playing with them, and he loves playing with Arabella in his foster home. He meets new dogs well and is eager to play. Because of him being deaf, he sometimes misreads the cues from the other dogs so it is best to pair him with a well socialized friend. Sterling does not like cats at all. He does love kids. He is happy and friendly to meet new people. He doesn’t like being away from his people, he wants to keep you close to make sure you don’t need him. He checks in often to see if you want him to be doing something. He knows hand signals for basic commands like come, sit, and hush. He is crate trained and crates easily. He will bark in his crate if he can see you but once he is alone he quiets quickly.

Sterling would make a fabulous addition to anyone’s family. He is out of the puppy stage and ready to head to the lake or the couch, as long as you are with him, he would love to do either.
